I Master and Record the Breakdown
Your track goes through my full hybrid chain: SSL Bus+, SSL Fusion, TC Electronic System 6000, Antelope Pure2, monitored on Genelec 8341As. I screen-record the entire session and explain every move.
You Receive Everything
Within 7 business days: your mastered file (48kHz/24-bit), the breakdown video, and up to 4 A/B comparison exports. Open the video, load the exports in your DAW, and study what changed.
Who’s Mastering Your Track?
I’m Adrian Milea. I’ve been producing, mixing, and mastering music for over 25 years. My work has been released on Armada Music and featured in DJ Mag. I was a finalist at the Academy of Electronic Music.
I run a professional mastering studio built around gear I’ve spent decades choosing: SSL Bus+, SSL Fusion, TC Electronic System 6000, Antelope Pure2, and Genelec 8341A monitors. Every track goes through this chain. No presets. No shortcuts.
I also teach audio production and mastering through my online courses. The Breakdown service came from a simple idea: what if you could watch over my shoulder while I master your own music? That’s exactly what this is.

Frequently Asked Questions
What file format should I send?

WAV or AIFF at the sample rate and bit depth you mixed in (44.1kHz or 48kHz, 24-bit preferred). Don’t convert or resample before sending. Leave headroom on the master bus. No limiting or maximizing on the master, please.
What’s the maximum song length?

Up to 5 minutes. If your track is longer, email me at adrian@adrianmilea.com and we’ll work something out.
How long is the breakdown video?

It varies depending on the track and how many decisions I need to explain, but typically between 10 and 20 minutes. Long enough to cover everything meaningful, short enough to stay focused.
What are the A/B exports exactly?
+
Up to 4 audio files that let you compare the before and after at different stages of the mastering chain. Load them into your DAW, line them up, and switch between them to hear exactly what each step did to your track.
How long until I get my files?

Up to 7 business days from when I receive your mix. Most projects are delivered sooner, but I give each track the time it deserves rather than rushing through a queue.
Do I get revisions?

If something isn’t right, email me and we’ll sort it out. I want you to be happy with the result.
What equipment do you use?

Genelec 8341A monitors, SSL Bus+ compressor, SSL Fusion analog processor, TC Electronic System 6000, Antelope Pure2 converter, and Pro Tools with a curated plugin selection. Every track goes through this hybrid chain.
What genres do you master?

All genres. I’ve mastered electronic, pop, rock, hip-hop, acoustic, and everything in between. The fundamentals of professional mastering are universal.
What’s the difference between this and your Stereo Audio Mastering service?

The Stereo Audio Mastering ($100) gives you a professional master. Period. The Mastering Breakdown ($199) gives you the same professional master plus the breakdown video and A/B exports. If you want to learn from the process, go Breakdown. If you just need a clean master, the Stereo service is all you need.
Can I book multiple songs?

Each booking covers one song. If you have multiple tracks, book each one separately or email me at adrian@adrianmilea.com to discuss a package.
